Bug #1 and Ogg

If you are a frequent visitor of my blog, maybe you realize that is 2 new images located at the right hand side. Let me introduce you to the meaning of those picture if you never heard / saw it.

First I would like to introduce you to the Ubuntu's 1st bug, which is saying that Microsoft having the majority of market share while in the same time free software like Ubuntu are restricted(For more details you can click on the image). As mentioned in the bug description, very few local PC shop are pre-installed with free software, while most of them including those non-free software with lots of restrictions. For example? Windows, Microsoft Office trial, whatever Antivrus trial, even whatever games are also trials(not the games pre-installed with Windows itself). Have you ever asked yourself, why you keep using Microsoft while it costs so much? Is it because of the software it supports? Or because you already get used to it, because you use it since you learn how to use computer? Well, the answers lies in your head.

Second thing I want to introduce is Ogg Vorbis, which is an open source audio and video format. Many people doesn't aware that DVD, MP3, Quicktime, Windows Media, Flash are non-free media format(free as in free speech, which means free to distribute, modify). Another thing is that they are probably patented, example Quicktime, which means if you want to use it, probably you will have to pay.

So, I hope you all go and have a peek on these two things, and compare with the current dominant non-free alternatives, don't take it too lightly, because it already affect us for at least 10 years.
